Small group yoga classes

Ever gone to a yoga class and felt like you were just another face in the crowd? Or that there were so many people that it was hard to stay focused on your own practice? In the cosy studio at Santosha Wellness classes have a maximum of six students, so you feel fully connected to your teacher, your group, your own practice. Small group classes can be more personalised in the flow of the class, meaning more benefits for you.

Our classes are designed to make you feel at peace, not pushed to your limits. In our Yoga we use an intentionally slower, meditative pace, with several breaths in each pose, allowing you to fully experience and melt into the posture. Deeply relaxing for mind and body, this style of class incorporates elements of Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga including Pranayama (breathwork) Asana (postures) and Dhyana (meditation).

  • If you find yourself feeling tired and heavy after a long day then the Slow Flow Yoga evening class the perfect antidote. This 60 minute mixed level class will leave you feeling lighter, refreshed and ready for a good rest! Yoga calms the mind and brings our attention to the present moment, increasing our awareness of our own bodies. You'll release any tension, stretch stiff muscles and still the thoughts in your busy mind. Every Monday and Thursday.

  • Wanna feel uplifted and energised, yet calm and focused? Then the morning flow class is the one for you! In this mixed levelclass you'll work on stilling your mind by moving your body, bringing a feeling of peace, lightness and ease. Yoga can help us focus our mind, training us to be present in the moment, while increasing flexibility and strength in the body. The Morning Flow Yoga takes place every Saturday at 10am, the perfect way to start your week or weekend off right!

  • Move beyond the basics in this intuitively sequenced flow. Designed for those who have a solid grasp of sun salutations and are ready to evolve their practice and take on more challenging postures. Think more standing postures, more balances, expolring the inversions, the vibe is empowering, progressing your practice and challenging yourself. Suitable for thise with a consistent regular practice. Thursday evenings.

  • Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues of the body (ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks) rather than the muscles. Yin Yoga focuses on cultivating stillness, as much a practice for the mind as it is for the body. Postures are held for up to 5 minutes. Equally as challenging as it is relaxing, we are dancing at the edge of our limits of comfort, releasing stored tension and emotions. Every Tuesday evening.

  • Gently stretched and deeply relaxed is how you'll feel after a session of Ground & Restore. We start by using the breath, the voice and sound to relax us and ground us into the present moment, before moving into gentle yoga postures to improve range of movement and flexibility. We finish with restorative yoga, a deeply relaxing and stress relieving form of yoga involving extended passive stretching, supported by props and pillows, releasing tension, calming the mind and promoting inner peace. Every Tuesday evening.

  • This Open Doors Session is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis to provide access to Yoga for all, ensuring finances never come in the way of practicing.

    Chair Yoga is a gentle session aimed at increasing mind-body connection, stretching tight muscles and improving joint mobility. We use a chair as a prop, and since there is no floor work this class may be more suitable for those who are less mobile.

    Option to stay after for a cuppa and a chat! Monday Mornings.

  • This Open Doors Session is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis to provide access to Mindfulness for all, ensuring finances never come in the way of practicing.

    In this 45 minute session you will be guided through mood boosting practices such as gratitude, intention setting, breathwork and somatic practices and meditation. This is a movemement free session focusing on relaxation and mindfulness, so is suitable for all.
